WS-C3850-48U-L is designed for access layer with 255 VLANs. Cisco 3850 series combines both wired and wireless capability on a single platform. The LAN base IOS features support up to 255 VLANs and disable wireless controller functionality. To enable wireless controller functionality, clients need to purchase wireless license and IP base license. Power stack capacity is supported by Cisco Stackpower technology to provide power redundancy among stack members. Three network uplink modules option enhance the flexibility for customer to choose network uplink connectivity. For the stacking purpose, LAN base switches can only stack with other Catalyst 3850 Series LAN base, mix stack with IP base or IP service feature set is not supported
