This DisplayPort to DVI-D Active Adapter is the perfect solution for connecting the video output of a DisplayPort equipped laptop other source device to the DVI-D input of a monitor, HDTV or projector in a classroom, on a desktop, or in conference and meeting rooms. This adapter can be used can be used in either DisplayPort single-mode or dual-mode outputs, providing the conversion for a DisplayPort source even when that source does not support DP++. Active DisplayPort conversion is excellent for applications where DisplayPort adapters are required to connect to a single graphics card. This allows every active adapter to interface with a corresponding display.
The compact design offers simple, plug-and-play installation with no drivers required, which makes it perfect for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) applications in education or corporate environments. Additionally, the device is powered through DisplayPort bus power, so no additional power adapters are required. The dongle-style adapter reduces strain on the video port.
Note: when connected to a DisplayPort source device that supports both audio and video and/or 4K signal, as well as a DVI-D to HDMI Cable plugged into an HDMI display which supports either or both of the above, these can be transmitted from source to display.
